TerraRack Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how City Fish LLC (“City Fish,” “TerraRack,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information in connection with the TerraRack mobile application (the “App”), the TerraRack website (the “Site”), and related services (collectively, the “Services”). It also describes choices and rights that may be available to you. This Policy applies to the U.S.-focused version of the Services described here. It does not apply to third-party websites, applications, or services that we do not control.
1. Information We Collect.
A. Information You Provide.
- Account information, such as your email address and account credentials, or information received through supported third-party sign-in methods such as Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google.
- Property and planning inputs, including ZIP code, plot size, available equipment, soil pH, goals, estimated deer or browse pressure, and sunlight conditions. These inputs are stored with or associated with your account so the App can provide and maintain Recommendations.
- Communications and support information you choose to provide when you contact us, request support, or otherwise communicate with us.
B. Purchase and Subscription Information.
When you purchase annual access through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the applicable marketplace processes the payment. We and our subscription infrastructure providers may receive information necessary to validate the purchase and manage access, such as purchase history, transaction or receipt information, product and entitlement information, renewal or expiration status, marketplace, currency or locale, and an app user or customer identifier. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number for marketplace purchases.
C. Information Collected Automatically.
When you use the Services, we and service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information such as device or browser type, operating system, app version, IP address, identifiers used to operate or secure the Services, log information, timestamps, pages or screens viewed, interactions with features, and diagnostic or performance information where enabled.
Cloudflare hosts the Site and provides traffic statistics for the terrarackapp.com domain. The Site does not offer account sign-in or plot planning.
D. Location Information.
The current beta does not request precise device geolocation for TerraRack planning. The App asks you to provide a ZIP code, which is stored with your account and used to provide location-relevant Recommendations. Certain service providers may independently derive approximate location from an IP address or receive locale information in the ordinary operation of their services.
E. Information from Third Parties.
We may receive information from third parties that support the Services, including Apple and Google for authentication and marketplace transactions; service providers supporting subscriptions and entitlements; and environmental or weather data providers used to support Recommendations. The information received depends on the service and your interaction with it.
2. How We Use Information.
We may use personal information to:
- create, authenticate, maintain, and secure your account;
- provide, personalize, store, and update TerraRack Recommendations based on your submitted property and planning inputs;
- provide location-relevant environmental and planning information using the ZIP code you submit;
- process, validate, administer, and restore annual access purchases and related entitlements;
- send notifications and service communications that you have enabled or that are otherwise permitted by law;
- operate, maintain, troubleshoot, analyze, secure, and improve the Services;
- understand Site and Service usage and performance;
- prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms;
- respond to questions, support requests, and other communications;
- comply with law, legal process, and enforceable governmental requests; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal rights and enforce our agreements.
3. How We Disclose Information.
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. We use vendors that provide cloud hosting and database services, authentication, application infrastructure, analytics, subscription and entitlement management, communications, support, security, and related operational services. They may process information on our behalf or as necessary to provide their services.
- Authentication and marketplace providers. If you use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, or purchase access through the Apple App Store or Google Play, information is exchanged with the applicable provider as needed to authenticate you, complete or validate transactions, restore purchases, and administer access.
- Environmental and weather information providers. We may send or use location-relevant information, such as a ZIP code or location derived from it, as needed to obtain environmental or weather data used by the Services. We do not disclose more account information than reasonably necessary for that purpose.
- Legal and safety disclosures. We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or legal process; necessary to protect rights, safety, or security; or appropriate to investigate fraud, abuse, or violations of our agreements.
- Business transfers. Information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with an actual or proposed financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or transfer of the TerraRack business or technology, subject to applicable law.
- At your direction or with your consent. We may disclose information when you direct us to do so or otherwise consent.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not currently use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising through the Services. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any choices required by applicable law.
4. Our Service Providers and Technology.
We do not publish a technical blueprint of the TerraRack architecture. The Services rely on third-party providers to perform functions such as database and cloud infrastructure, application support, authentication, analytics, subscription and entitlement management, app distribution, communications, storage, and environmental or weather data. We disclose these providers by functional category where appropriate rather than describing non-public system architecture. These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy notices or under agreements with us. Their data practices can change independently of TerraRack. Where a provider acts on our behalf, we seek to limit processing to information reasonably necessary to provide and support the Services.
5. Cookies and Website Analytics.
You can manage cookies and other site data in your browser settings. We do not currently use the Site for behavioral advertising. If we introduce advertising or additional tracking technologies, we will update this Policy and provide the notices and choices required by applicable law.
6. Notifications and Communications.
The App may ask for permission to send push notifications. Push notifications are optional and can be disabled through your device settings. If we offer email or other optional communications, you may use the unsubscribe or preference mechanism provided, subject to our ability to send non-promotional messages concerning your account, transactions, security, or material Service changes where permitted by law.
7. Data Retention.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide and secure the Services, maintain your account and Recommendations, administer purchases, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary by category of information and applicable legal or operational requirements. When you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account within a reasonable period, subject to information we must or are permitted to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, transaction-record, dispute, backup, or other legitimate purposes. Residual copies may remain temporarily in backups until overwritten in the ordinary course.
8. Account Deletion.
You may initiate deletion of your TerraRack account and associated data using the account-deletion functionality provided in the App. Account deletion is intended to delete the account, not merely deactivate it. We may need to verify a deletion request before completing it. Deleting your TerraRack account does not necessarily cancel an annual purchase, renewal, or billing arrangement maintained by Apple or Google. You should separately manage marketplace purchases through the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. If you used a third-party sign-in service, certain authentication relationships or tokens may also be managed through that provider.
For additional deletion assistance, you may contact us at [email protected].
9. Your Privacy Choices and Rights.
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy; to obtain information about categories of information we collect and disclose; and to appeal certain decisions. You may also have rights concerning sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling if we engage in those activities. We do not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising.
You may exercise applicable rights by contacting us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request. You may use an authorized agent where applicable law permits. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. You can also manage certain information directly through the App, manage push permissions through your device settings, manage marketplace purchases through Apple or Google, and manage Site cookies through available browser or Site controls.
10. Security.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong, unique password and protecting your account credentials and devices.
11. Children’s Privacy.
The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a TerraRack account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Services. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
12. Third-Party Services and Links.
The Services may interact with or link to third-party services, including authentication providers, app marketplaces, and external websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices and are not controlled by this Policy. We encourage you to review those notices before providing information to a third party.
13. International Use.
The current Services are intended for users in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable law. We do not represent that the Services are appropriate or configured for use in every jurisdiction.
14. Changes to This Policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Services, our practices, or applicable law. We will post the updated Policy and revise the Effective Date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as required by law.
